Dr. Di Paolo was the Director of the Nephrology Unit of the Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria Senese, Siena, Italy, 1981-2002. His specialist qualifications include Nephrology, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Reumatology, Hygiene.

The main research interest of Dr. Di Paolo was peritoneal morphology during peritoneal dialysis.
