Dr. Atallah is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Univ. of Central Florida, College of Medicine; Chair of Colon & Rectal Surgery at Florida Hospital Orlando, FL; and the Director for Research and Innovation at the Center for Colon and Rectal Surgery. In 2009, he co-created TAMIS, and subsequently pioneered robotic transanal surgery, augmented reality and stereotactic navigation for rectal cancer surgery. His notable areas of expertise include taTME and advanced transanal surgery. Dr. Atallah has published extensively in these fields and continues to develop innovative approaches to surgery.
